National Poetry Week Project- Updated

Final double page spread design 

Above shows my updated double page spread. After reviewing my final design and receiving some feedback i realised there was a couple of elements that needed adapting such as the placement of the text, as before this sat in the middle and therefore was not readable. Therefore, i decided to move the text as well as some fo the illustration elements so the text sat on a plainer background and therefore not taking away from the handwritten type. I also moved some elements such as a plant in the middle of the fold as without it felt rather plain and just lacked some depth and also felt like it connected the two pages together. 

Overall, I am really happy with how it looks, and putting it onto a magazine mockup really helped me imagine it and pull it into a final piece. I feel the colour really works and bringing that water and environment to life As well as the text that really tied that playful feel altogether and really designed for that younger audience.
