Final Design- PTSD Poster Project

Below shows the final graphics for the folded poster zine including both the front and back. The idea of this leaflet it to provide further information regarding the posters and how PTSD can be a common side effect post treatment. After reviewing the posters and having some feedback we felt it would be nice to further develop this idea and message making it feel more real within its purpose.

As for the folded poster zine, I wanted something that felt a bit different from your average trifold leaflet, and after some research decided on this style. The idea is the one side to have a complete image that would make a poster like the ones for the campaign, whilst the other side would be made up of four individual sections with information so it could be folded neater making it more useable for the target audience.

Below shows the final image of the back poster, I chose this one from the campaign as i felt the character added a more personal, relatable touch that would help the patient feel a connection. Allowing them to feel they are not alone with these intense feelings, that there are many like themselves also feeling the same. I also particularly liked the background being rather plain as i knew the other side would be more intense with colour and shape so therefore added a nice contrast.

As for the back I showed some of my process of creating the information side of the leaflet, splitting the page into four, to show how it could be split for folding. For this folding element i really had fun with playing with different elements, for example you an see all the abstract shapes cut off to create that sharp edge and create sectioning, however, I also used the line work to flow between pages to create that connection within the piece. I feel this is rather successful and works as a whole.

Overall, I am really happy with the final images, and feel they really work within their intended purpose to help further spread awareness and intended information that could support a patient with these feelings. I feel the next step would perhaps be to create a mockup to see how it works fully folded and see if there is anything that needs changing.
