Final Poster Design- PTSD Poster Project

Below shows the final designs posters that I developed from the initial designs seen in my last post. There wasn't too much change in terms of the initial illustration however there were things added to help the composition and final design fit for its initial purpose.

For example in the first illustration I added some pills surrounding the hands, as with just the text the area felt rather plain and empty compared to the other designs. I really liked this little change and feel it really helped make the poster feel complete. As for the other two posters there were not many changes apart from the adding of text. I decided to go with the hand written typeface, as it felt rather unique and yet still worked with the style of image on each the typography had a different feel, for example in the first it is rather straight and structured. Whilst in the second the text follows the shape of the cloud and has that much looser feel and yet they still feel connected with their styles.

As well as adding type face for the statement, and the link for the patient to follow, I also decided to include a QR code. QR codes are used in a much easier way for people to access websites links. In this case I felt it would be successful and fit the purpose of the poster. As not only could the patient follow the link of support, but they could also scan the poster on the go and it would instantly supply with the support or resources needed.

Overall I am really happy with how they have developed and feel overall they look super effective and eye-catching whilst still sticking to their original purpose, of raising awareness towards PTSD post cancer treatment and reaching out for help. I am also really happy with the idea of it linking back towards teenage cancer trust, and the support they could offer as a charity. I really liked the idea of including a charity as it grounded myself and gave the whole project more context and purpose whilst also making it feel more realistic.
