After doing some research into Lauren Child I want to experiment with her style and play around with that idea of digital collage. I therefore decided to play with my main character and see if i could have some fun with adding different textures. The idea of this image was to focus in on the main characters hat something that I intend to feature through the story a lot.
To create this I simply found different photos and textures online and pasted them into my canvas. To blend them in with the main drawing i then played around with the line work on top to create that overall connection. I really like how this looked and definitely feel it worked as an experimentation. I would definitely love to progress further maybe adding it in smaller places so therefore will really add depth to the image.
