After looking at some examples and king some brief research, i decided the next step would be to do some thumbnails of how i could imagine they could perhaps looks when developed with my graphics and the composition. I tied to experiment with both the trifold leaflet and the zine poster, it in my head i was definitely leaning towards the poster as i like the unique feel with its unique fold and structure.
These sketches really helped with the process and allowed me to really play around with different styles that i was considering for the leaflet design. I knew i wanted the leaflet to have a similar style to the posters to create that connection, I was planning to do this by using the illustration i designed for the poster, within the leaflet. I also wanted to experiment with the idea of abstract shapes in the background inspired by the examples i looked at in my last blog post, i really looked it and feel it could really give that contemporary feel to my own work.
