Mock-ups example - PTSD Poster Project

After completing the final designs for my posters, I wanted to create digital mock-ups of the posters in real life situations so I could see how they really worked. The idea of my posters was for them to be mainly hung upo in a clinic environment, so a patient who was returning back for a check up appointment may see them and relate to this new idea of PTSD that has come into their life since finishing treatment. I also wanted to experiment with other areas such as bus shelters as seen below. My subject is quite niche and would not apply to a large target audience in a public environment. However, i feel it is nice to spread awareness on the issues, as often once treatment has finished a lot of people presume you are fine, when in most circumstances the patient is actually still struggling. So this may make people think further, and perhaps reach out to anyone they know is suffering.

Bus Shelter

Above shows the two designs I played around with for the bus shelter mockup, i think these two work the best blown up into a bigger scale. The first one i like as it has a more personal feel with the character being sat centre drawing you in. Whilst the second i feel is successful because i like the sense of pattern within the background and feel the overall composition feels fun yet still delivers the message. Of course this doesn’t relate to my targeted audience as much but as mentioned  above i still feel it would be interesting in this case to help spread awareness.

Clinic Wall

As for the designs mocked up below, this is more how I imagined them in the beginning, blown up to a size A2 either framed or pinned up on a pin board in a clinic. I want the posters to be nice and big so they are noticeable by patients. The idea of the campaign is to highlight the lack of support post treatment, and therefore, the posters should be noticeable to show the patients they are not alone.

I really like how they sit together and think they look super effective sat together within the simultaneous style and colour palette yet they still don’t look too similar with the different style compositions. It was really fun to see them mocked up for their purpose and feel they have ben really effective in terms of getting the message across.

My next step with the posters, is to see if there is something that can go along side it such as a leaflet to provide further information. The posters are good on spreading awareness but they’re limited on information that could help support patients. Therefore, i feel a leaflet that could be set along side the posters would provide more information and bring more depth to the overall campaign.
