I wanted to look more into the idea of colour and how it plays such an important part within children’s books. Therefore, i picked some images found from Pinterest all with different tones and picked out the main colours from each. This was a rather quick task but from a research perspective it was great to look at the colours and see if there was any i could use within my own work.
Usually I would pick a very bold bright colour palette however, when looking at the three i feel the one on the right appeals to me the most. I love the combinations of the colours feeling bright yet also slightly muted. Moving forward I would love to experiment with these tones when it comes to developing my main illustrations.
